About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Financial Counselor to join our team at Discovery Behavioral Health DBH.

This individual will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our patient care services by coordinating with our admissions and business office teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and prepare paperwork for new admits, including RTC/PHP/IOP and continuing care/aftercare patients.
  • Manage patient accounts, including tracking recurring payments, providing invoices/receipts per transaction, and calendar all payments for follow-up.
  • Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate and timely processing of patient accounts.
  • Review VOB and patient responsibility with new admits and communicate effectively with patients regarding their financial obligations.
  • Update internal metrics within Salesforce and Kipu as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or above, preferred.
  • Experience in medical or hospital settings, preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • 6 months minimum of collections/admissions coordinator experience, preferred.
