Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to teach and mentor students in the pediatric nursing program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pediatric nursing, excellent teaching and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities- Teach and mentor students in the pediatric nursing program
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of the program
- Assess and evaluate student learning outcomes
- Collaborate with content area faculty to provide expert evaluation and documentation of student progress
- Participate in grading written and clinical/lab performance check-offs
- Remain current with new trends and developments in the specific field of nursing practice
- Uphold the tenets of nursing as a holistic profession as well as the pillars of the University
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) required
- Minimum of 2 years' work experience in pediatric nursing
- An active, current and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Utah or compact state
- Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred
- Evidence of involvement in one's professional area (e.g., membership in professional organizations, presentations, research, and/or publications)
