Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Accounting Manager to join our team at Recruiting Resources, Inc. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and support on complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, business combinations, equity transactions, and consolidation.
  • Implement new accounting standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct research on technical accounting issues and document conclusions in technical memos.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during the audit process and address audit queries and findings.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure consistent and accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to stay current with accounting standards and best practices.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior accounting staff on technical matters.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration or related field required.
  • CPA required.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical accounting, preferably within the health insurance or healthcare industry.
  • Preference given to candidates with public accounting experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite) is a plus.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in collaboration and delegation of duties.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills.
  • VBA or similar health insurance software experience a plus.
