At Lower Bucks Hospital, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and service. As a Patient Account Registrar, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our admissions process.
Responsibilities:
- Interview patients or their representatives to obtain demographic information and secure insurance details.
- Work closely with the Admitting department, including PBX operators and reception staff, to ensure seamless communication and data exchange.
- Operate a computer to input and retrieve data, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with patients of all ages, utilizing age-specific techniques to ensure understanding and satisfaction.
- Maintain proficiency in medical terminology and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Qualifications:
- Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative or medical records specialist is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent is required.
