Wood is seeking a skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our Structural Integrity Management team. This role will be based in one of our Texas offices and involves collaborating with team members to develop and execute project scopes while fulfilling a seller-doer role within a well-established group.

The ideal candidate will be recognized for delivering high-quality projects and ensuring client satisfaction. They should possess the ability to both sell and execute work, adapt to various assignments, and navigate the complete project lifecycle—from initial engagement to project close-out. Proficiency in relevant codes and standards is essential, along with a solid understanding of related engineering and scientific disciplines for effective management and coordination.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee project scope, timeline, and budget management throughout the project lifecycle
  • Conduct consulting services, structural evaluations, and inspections, producing comprehensive reports
  • Engage with clients for business development, presentations, and advisory services
  • Collaborate with design teams to establish project scope, timelines, and budgets
  • Lead the preparation of proposals and pricing within the structural division
  • Coordinate the creation of bid and construction documents, including drawings, calculations, and specifications
  • Research vendor options, regulatory requirements, and prepare or direct engineering designs
  • Supervise and review the work of subcontractors and/or company personnel, serving as the lead technical reviewer
  • Collaborate with specialists from other technical areas to support multidisciplinary projects
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at continuous improvement
  • Adhere to company safety protocols, engineering standards, and quality assurance procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; preferably in Civil or Structural; a Master's degree is advantageous
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in structural integrity engineering service delivery is required
  • Strong understanding of integrity management program development, structural reliability analysis for oil & gas infrastructure, fire and blast response analysis, and fitness for service
  • Familiarity with the oil and gas and mining sectors in the US, including the provision of technical SIM services and a broad industry network
  • Experience in consultative organizations and managing technical delivery teams
  • Demonstrated intelligence with a creative approach and strong strategic and analytical skills
  • Results-driven and focused on achieving defined objectives
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Must be a US citizen or authorized to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood
