Job Summary

Spectrum Healthcare Partners, a leading multi-specialty physician-owned organization, is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at our Orthopaedic Day Surgery Center in Portland, ME. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our clinical and administrative teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assisting physicians with health assessments and documenting patient information.
  • Assist with pre-admission testing, including coordinating diagnostic tests and medical consults.
  • Collaborate with surgical schedulers to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient use of resources.
  • Provide patient education and counseling, as directed by supervising physicians.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Current State of Maine LPN License or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician medical practice.
  • CMA or RMA credentialing.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
