Role Summary:
The Cardiac Sonographer will perform echocardiographic examinations on adult patients within the Cardiology Noninvasive Laboratory. This includes M-Mode, Two-Dimensional, contrast echocardiography, as well as Doppler techniques and stress echocardiography. The role involves contributing to departmental objectives and fulfilling related responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather diagnostic data essential for assessing patients with heart conditions.
  • Prepare studies for review by utilizing both online and offline systems to extract relevant information.
  • Assist cardiologists in interpreting echocardiograms and Doppler studies.
  • Engage in IV initiation and contrast injection procedures for echocardiography.
  • Utilize manual and automated blood pressure monitoring devices.
  • Conduct daily 3D ejection fraction and volume assessments.
  • Perform Exercise Stress and Dobutamine Echocardiograms.
  • Carry out Transesophageal Echocardiograms.
  • Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Non-Invasive Cardiology Technology program.
  • Registered or registry-eligible as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the role of Cardiac Sonographer.
  • Certification in CPR is required.
