Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to support our operations at UtiliQuest, LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of diesel trucks and various equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and perform repairs on diesel trucks and equipment, including Class 8 vehicles.
  • Maintain and repair all ground engaging equipment.
  • Execute incidental welding tasks as required.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records for all equipment, including service records, parts and repair costs, service schedules, and inspections.
  • Handle 8-10 repair orders daily, focusing on routine maintenance and oil changes.
  • Perform 90-day BIT inspections on equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
  • Have 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working in various weather conditions, including inclement weather.
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Capable of lifting, climbing, and carrying ladders weighing up to 80 lbs.
