Position: Sanitation Technician

Overview:

The Sanitation Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the processing facility. This position involves a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Thoroughly rinse, foam, and sanitize equipment, production lines, walls, and machinery in designated areas of the facility.
  • Possess knowledge of USDA guidelines for operational start-up and adhere to the company's Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP).
  • Follow established plant policies and procedures diligently.
  • Uphold the highest standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Adhere to specifications for product packaging and labeling, and promptly report any unusual or concerning situations to the supervisor or management.

Examples of Abnormal Situations Include:

- Product tampering
- Intentional product adulteration
- Unauthorized personnel in restricted zones
- Any indication of potential product adulteration
- Equipment failures that could compromise product integrity

Physical Requirements:

  • Engage in standing, walking, and bending throughout the entire shift.
  • Occasional use of ladders in specific production areas.
  • Regular use of high-pressure hoses and chemical solutions for cleaning tasks.
