Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Press Feeder to join our team at Digital Room LLC in Van Nuys, CA. As a Press Feeder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our sheet-fed press.

Key Responsibilities
  • Punch holes in plates and place them in the designated color.
  • Assist the Press Operator in removing and replacing worn rollers and adjusting pressure between rollers.
  • Load skids of unprinted sheets of paper onto the feed device of the sheet-fed press.
  • Inspect materials and products for defects and ensure they meet job specifications.
  • Operate machinery and equipment, including dual control buttons and moving controls to start, stop, or adjust.
  • Load printed sides of jobs onto the flipping machine and prepare for loading onto the press machine.
  • Identify and mark materials, products, and samples according to instructions.
  • Remove materials and products from machines and equipment and place them in staging positions for the bindery department.
  • Record production and operational data, such as the amount of materials processed.
  • Report any workplace hazards to management immediately.
  • Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order and free of safety hazards.
  • Be available for required overtime based on business needs.
  • Be proactive in completing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Understand the printing process of the press machine.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the Press Operator.
  • Ability to use hand/power tools and use them safely.
  • Ability to multitask with changing priorities.
  • Ability to recognize safety issues and take corrective actions.
