About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Customs Analyst to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our Global Trade organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with customs regulations and facilitating the smooth flow of goods across international borders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate regulatory declaration requirements into comprehensive guidance to ensure compliance and facilitate shipment execution.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Global Trade, Shipping, Receiving, International Logistics, Customs Brokers, and Freight Forwarders.
  • Review and validate valuation, country of origin, and product-related information for accuracy.
  • Generate required documentation for import clearance instructions using SAP-based systems.
  • Ensure compliant submission of import entry instructions to Customs Brokers, including management of customer expectations and licensing requirements.
  • Assess the accuracy of documentation provided by Customs Brokers.
  • Monitor, escalate, and resolve Agent-filer service failures.
  • Operate in accordance with standard operating procedures and recommend updates to processes and tools to accommodate compliant and facilitative goods flow.
  • Represent the organization as primary contact for import declaration filings with internal customers and third-party service providers.
  • Interface closely with colleagues in various businesses to identify and understand Raytheon's products and supply chains.
  • Support classification processes in SAP GTS and other systems, including accurate Harmonized Tariff classifications (HTS), Schedule B, and other government agency classifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience executing Customs Compliance and Operations work in an export/import environment or Customs Brokerage, Freight Forwarding, Department of State & Commerce Licensing, policy, or government relations field.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.
  • 1+ years of experience using SAP-based systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • At least 1 year of experience with ACE, HTS, export/import valuation, and ITAR/EAR regulation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent customer relationship and interpersonal skills, with the ability to respond efficiently and effectively to time-critical issues with competing priorities.
  • Detailed and task-oriented self-starter who can develop effective networks with internal and external customers, with the ability to work in a remote team environment.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to adapt to change.
  • Licensed Customs Broker with solid knowledge of Customs Compliance Regulations (domestic/global import/export and application of export/import trade regulations).
  • Familiarity with ABI, DDTC, HTS, export/import valuation, Other Government Agency requirements, Free Trade Agreements, and CBP processes, U.S. Government export regulations to generate compliant export declaration filings (EEI filings)/import declaration filings (BEI).
