Job Description Summary

The HVAC Technician 2 plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our rental equipment. This position requires a high level of professionalism, strong communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and install rented HVAC equipment, providing training to authorized operators and customers on safe use and operation.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.
  • Direct customers to sign necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of serial numbers.
  • Successfully troubleshoot and understand the operation, function, specifications, capabilities, and controls of rental equipment.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and adhere to all company safety policies.
  • Clean and test returned equipment to ensure it meets standards.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.
  • Install flexible gas hoses on propane and natural gas applications and implement safe procedures for checking gas connections.
  • Collaborate with managers and sales engineers to maintain accurate records and tracking of in-stock and rented equipment.
  • Be available for emergency service calls on a rotating schedule, including weekends and evenings.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of formal HVAC experience or training.
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work some after-hours and weekend shifts during peak periods.
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair most Climate Control equipment and maintain a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
  • HVAC Certificate preferred, recognizing formal training and state-licensed ability to work on refrigeration systems.
