Pharmacy Technician

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our customers. Our pharmacy technicians are the face of our pharmacy, interacting with customers and developing strong relationships to ensure a positive experience.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with state and federal regulations. You will also assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
Additionally, you will be responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB certified, you will assist with and coach pharmacy technicians in the operation of pharmacy systems and cashiers in the operation of the pharmacy cash registers.
Our Pharmacy Technicians are also responsible for modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience. They engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving customer issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
- Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
Requirements:
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
- Prefer good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
- Prefer good computer skills.
- Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
- Prefer PTCB certification.
