Job Title: Surgical Technologist 2

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist 2 to join its high-acuity, fast-paced, multispecialty operating room team. This role requires a strong foundation in aseptic and surgical techniques, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to strict aseptic protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate and meet the needs of patients and surgeons.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in surgical technology.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist required.
  • Licensed Surgical Technologist via Commonwealth of Virginia required upon start.
  • Basic Life Support certification via American Heart Association required upon start.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) highly preferred.
