The Senior Property Accountant will report directly to the Vice President and will engage extensively with various teams across the organization. This role is tailored for a driven professional who excels in a high-energy setting and seeks to elevate their career.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all facets of accounting and financial reporting for a designated portfolio of properties, ensuring precision and compliance with corporate policies and applicable regulations.
  • Generate and assess monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for assigned properties.
  • Facilitate the budgeting and forecasting processes for the portfolio, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, post journal entries, and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations; CAM reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audit requests and assist in the investigation and analysis of audit-related issues.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in property accounting is required.
  • Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management/accounting software is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles and practices.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of conveying financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Self-driven, with a demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
  • CPA or CMA certification is advantageous.
