KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute routine kitchen operations efficiently.
  • Adhere to the preparation list to organize daily tasks.
  • Label and arrange all ingredients on shelves for easy access.
  • Accurately measure ingredients and seasonings for cooking.
  • Prepare ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, and cutting meats.
  • Set up workstations and ingredients to facilitate recipe execution.
  • Perform basic cooking tasks, including sauce reduction and dough preparation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.
  • Ensure proper storage of all food and supplies.
  • Follow nutrition and sanitation standards diligently.
  • Complete additional kitchen tasks as assigned.
  • Possess knowledge of health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
  • Demonstrate understanding of fundamental cooking techniques.
  • Exhibit strong organizational abilities.
  • Show patience and manual dexterity.
  • Communicate effectively with team members.
  • Pay attention to detail and maintain composure under pressure.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Culinary school training is advantageous.

Demonstrated experience as a prep cook is required.

Must possess a current food handler's card.
