Job Summary

MGC Contractors is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Superintendent to oversee the installation of mechanical systems on our construction sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in water and wastewater plant operations, as well as proficiency in reading plans and understanding layouts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise production control and QA/QC processes to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Coordinate with project superintendents to build and manage schedules, allocate resources, and track progress.
  • Oversee mechanical installation construction activities, adhering to strict schedules and budgets.
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track project progress and identify potential issues.
  • Identify critical issues and collaborate with project superintendents to develop solutions.
  • Supervise safety procedures to prevent unsafe behaviors and hazards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in water and wastewater plant operations.
  • Proficiency in reading plans and understanding layouts.
  • Proficiency in all piping, above ground and underground installations.
  • Proficiency in the installation of plant equipment.
  • Proficiency in process piping/tubing and instrumentation installation.
  • Proficiency in miscellaneous metals installations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
