Job Summary:

The Interventional Radiology Technologist is a key member of the Interventional Radiology team at Johns Hopkins Medicine, working closely with the Interventional Radiologist and Registered Nurse to deliver exceptional patient care. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform in the scrub and recorder roles, providing assistance to the circulator and ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Collect and analyze patient data, identifying priority problems and reporting variances to the RN and physicians.
  • Document findings in the radiologic documentation and maintain accurate records.
  • Anticipate and adjust to equipment and supply needs, ensuring seamless procedure execution.
  • Assist in patient education and provide information to healthcare providers as needed.
  • Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, selecting and modifying technical factors to produce optimal images.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Manage inventory control for vascular and interventional specific supplies.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited college or school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
  • Certification and current registration as a radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Florida State License as a Certified Radiologic Technologist.
  • Certification and current registration in Cardiovascular Interventional Radiographer (CV), Cardiac Interventional Radiographer (CI) or Vascular-Interventional Radiographer (VI) by the ARRT is preferred.
  • BLS within one year of hire.

Compensation:

Salary range: $32.71 - $52.34 per hour, commensurate with equity and experience.
