Key Responsibilities- Assist the primary operating surgeon in the perioperative care of patients, utilizing the nursing process to develop and implement a plan of care.
- Function within the policies and guidelines established by the facility, reporting directly to the Surgical Unit Manager.
- Collaborate with the primary surgeon and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and stay current with best practices.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of 24 months of preoperative experience.
- Satisfactory completion of a State-approved RNFA program and certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR).
- Accumulation of 150 contact hours of continuing education every 5 years.
- Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.
