Accounting and Professional Consulting Internship

RubinBrown LLP, a leading accounting and professional consulting firm, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to contribute to our team as an intern.

Job Summary

The objective of this internship is to introduce the intern to the field of public accounting and provide a dynamic, challenging, and fun experience. As an intern, you will be provided with an introductory orientation to the firm, including administrative and professional matters. You will also be assigned a Career Advocate who will assist you in building a set of personalized goals and objectives for the internship.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with clients and staff
  • Participate in client work in the office and at clients' offices
  • Work as a full-time team member and maintain a full-time schedule for a period of eight weeks or more
  • Assist with tax-related tasks, including Federal, State, and Local compliance, and Wealth-Management practice areas
  • Analyze and enhance understanding of internal controls
  • Create and maintain workpaper documentation for client engagements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
  • Junior or Senior Status
  • Introductory level accounting courses
  • Prior completion of Auditing or Tax class is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
