As a Military Police Officer with the U.S. Army, you will play a critical role in maintaining law and order on Army installations. Your primary responsibility will be to enforce military laws and regulations, ensuring the safety and security of personnel and property.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct law enforcement patrols to prevent and detect crime
- Investigate crimes and gather evidence
- Interview witnesses, victims, and suspects
- Arrest and charge criminal suspects
- Provide security and crowd control services
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Cardholder
- Must complete the ASVAB test to identify Army jobs that match your skills
As a Military Police Officer, you will receive 20 weeks of One Station Unit Training and on-the-job instruction in police methods. You will learn essential skills such as:
- Basic warrior skills and firearms training
- Military and civil laws and jurisdiction
- Investigating and collecting evidence
- Traffic and crowd control
- Arrest and restraint of suspects
