Military Police Career Overview

As a Military Police Officer in the U.S. Army, you will play a critical role in maintaining law and order on Army installations. Your duties will include enforcing military laws and regulations, controlling traffic, preventing crime, and responding to emergencies.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Conduct law enforcement patrols to maintain order and security
* Interview witnesses, victims, and suspects in investigations
* Secure and process crime scenes
* Arrest and charge criminal suspects

**Requirements:**

* Complete the ASVAB to identify your strengths and potential Army jobs
* Be a U.S. Citizen or Green Cardholder

**Training:**

Job training for Military Police Officers requires 20 weeks of One Station Unit Training and on-the-job instruction in police methods. You will learn basic warrior skills, military/civil laws, investigating and collecting evidence, traffic and crowd control, and arrest and restraint of suspects.
