About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Forestry Consultant to join our team at Eocene Environmental Group of the West, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of power to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact property owners and public agencies to discuss pruning and removal of trees and brush
  • Conduct thorough tree and brush inventories to identify potential hazards
  • Evaluate and inspect trees for potential hazards and develop plans for removal or pruning
  • Manage data and ensure accurate records are kept
  • Ensure the safety of employees and the public by enforcing on-the-job safety practices
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Requirements
  • Degree in forestry or a related field, or equivalent experience in utility line clearance
  • Strong species identification skills and knowledge of invasive species
  • Ability to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
  • Proficient in map navigation skills and Microsoft Office
