Job Summary:
An esteemed Anesthesiologist with expertise in Critical Care is sought after to join our team at VCU Health - Richmond, VA. This role involves delivering exceptional anesthetic and critical care services to patients as assigned by the Department Chair or delegate. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, clinical, and teaching skills. As a member of our department, you will be committed to advancing knowledge in the specialty, educating the next generation of clinicians, and providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
Pre-anesthetic evaluation, intraoperative anesthetic care, postoperative rounds, resuscitation, and intensive care are essential components of this role. You will also direct nurse anesthetists as assigned by the Chair or delegate. Additionally, you will provide bedside clinical teaching of residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists. Participating in didactic teaching programs and attending conferences, rounds, and staff meetings are also required.

Required Qualifications:
M.D. or D.O. degree, ABA Board eligibility/certified in Anesthesiology, eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Virginia, and employment in the United States are mandatory qualifications. Good communication and clinical skills are also necessary. Demonstrated experience working in a diverse environment or commitment to fostering diversity is preferred. Estimated Salary Range: $250,000 - $350,000 annually based on location, experience, and qualifications.
