Crystal Creamery Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor for our manufacturing facility.

The Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing a team of qualified mechanics responsible for the upkeep (both preventative and corrective) of all production and related machinery to ensure optimal performance. This position also involves managing the activities of external contractors when necessary. Our facility is distinguished by its ability to produce a variety of products including Fluid, Ice Cream, Butter, Powder, and Cultured Products. This challenging position is vital to the success of our operations and is compensated accordingly.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead, organize, and coordinate daily operations of the union maintenance team during assigned shifts.

- Assess, train, and develop the maintenance personnel.

- Guide, motivate, and support the maintenance staff in adhering to safe work practices to achieve zero injuries.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (both personnel and processes) within the Maintenance department.

- Ensure the effective use of all relevant software, including Corporate Asset Maintenance Management systems.

- Guarantee that maintenance work orders are completed to the highest standards of engineering, integrity, food safety, and environmental protection.

- Manage preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize production equipment efficiency.

- Utilize predictive maintenance technologies to minimize downtime and plan for operational maintenance.

- Collaborate with Production, Quality/Food Safety, and Project departments daily to address technical and operational challenges.

- Oversee Repair & Maintenance financial resources within the allocated annual budget.

- Ensure equipment availability and compliance with safety regulations (OSHA, etc.).

- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The following qualifications are essential for success in this role:

- A degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.

- At least five (5) years of experience in the maintenance field within a food and beverage manufacturing environment.

- Comprehensive knowledge of food processing equipment maintenance and technology.

- Proven leadership in food safety and familiarity with SQF standards.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment that complies with all company and regulatory requirements.

- Understanding of Ammonia Refrigeration systems and CAL/ARP RMP programs.

- Experience with HazMat and SPCC programs.

- Knowledge of environmental regulations management.

- Familiarity with Plant Automation/PLC systems.

- Excellent communication skills with a service-oriented mindset.

- Basic understanding of financial analysis, budget reports, and key business drivers.

- Flexibility to work any shift as required.
