Job Summary

The Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide healthcare services to patients and support medical and safety efforts at a large-scale construction site located in Boise, ID. This project is anticipated to last multiple years, with exact timing determined by client requirements.

Schedule and Work Environment

10 hour shifts, 4 days a week, with a schedule of 6:00am - 4:00pm. The clinic is located within the protected/regulated area of the construction site, with mainly indoor, office/clinic conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Employee Care, Treatment, and Testing: Provides first-aid, medical treatment, and follow-up care to occupationally ill/injured workers, consistent with Workers' Compensation standards and laws.
  • Clinic Management: Maintains frequent communication with the Medical Director and WorkCare Supervisor regarding clinic issues and client requests.
  • Medical Records and Private Health Information: Maintains employee health records and databases, with responsible handling and guarding of Protected Health Information.
  • Client Interaction: Develops and maintains good relationships with client management, medical and safety personnel, co-workers, and WorkCare supervisors and managers.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Idaho, with national certification in the state applying to. Must have unrestricted DEA license, current ACLS/BLS certifications, and a minimum of 3 years advanced practice experience with prior occupational medicine preferred.
  • Skills and Competencies: Knowledge of clinical functions, including diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries. Must display a high level of interpersonal skills and interest in the field of occupational health.
  • Computer Skills: Competent in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Teams), and able to learn other software as needed.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

Requires sitting for long periods, working at a desk, and ability to work under stressful, sometimes unpredictable situations. Manual dexterity required for use of medical equipment, performing procedures, and computer keyboard. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
