In this role, you will assist with managing clients' non-hazardous and hazardous waste disposal.

You will manage and track the entire process of waste generation, storage, and disposal, including:

  • Managing pick-up of hazardous waste at various client sites
  • Coordinating activities with waste generators; properly identifying, classifying, and labeling waste in preparation for disposal or treatment
  • Ensuring proper packaging and labelling of waste to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance
  • Interacting with Branch Manager, Project Managers, and Field Staff regarding compliance with shipments of non-hazardous and hazardous waste and other client issues regarding compliance
  • Preparing specimen samples for testing at the lab, including packaging, labelling, and recordkeeping
  • Assisting with responding to hazardous material releases and assisting in the containment and clean-up of spilled materials
  • Assisting with preparation, collection, and review of periodic environmental reports and all compliance monitoring data
  • Performing physical labor associated with cleanup activities, sample collection, waste removal, and other remediation services

  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to perform physical functions per Key Responsibilities
  • This position includes emergency response, a continuing condition of employment is agreeing to be on-call; on occasion working on weekends and holidays will be required; emergency response situations can extend beyond 8 hours, up to 12-24 hrs.
  • Perform physical functions per job requirements
  • Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
  • Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards
  • Work with a safety-first mindset
  • Be able to work outside, exposed to the elements, including during inclement weather
