Hepaco Inc is a leading provider of environmental remediation services. As an Environmental Remediation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient cleanup of contaminated sites.

Job Description

This entry-level position requires extensive supervision and involves performing a range of tasks required for industrial service operations. Duties include tank cleaning, pipeline maintenance, manual remediation services, waste bulking, and/or demolition services, all in accordance with established company policies and procedures.

  • Safety Procedures: Follow applicable safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site-specific safety plans when performing cleanup activities and donning protective gear.
  • Equipment Operations: Load and unload equipment from vehicles, trailers, and watercraft, and operate routinely used tools and equipment, such as steam cleaners, water lasers, cascade systems, chemical mixers, generators, air saws, drills, grinders, cutting torches, etc.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to supervisor.
  • Physical Labor: Perform physical labor associated with cleanup activities, sample collection, waste removal, and other remediation services.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain warehouse inventory, stock supplies, and perform building maintenance tasks.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete required paperwork, forms, and records as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to interpret and follow written and oral instructions and assignments.
  • Technical Knowledge: General knowledge of operations and ability to safely operate assigned equipment.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • OSHA Certification: Must meet the position level requirements, including OSHA 40HR HAZWOPER certification.
Work Environment

As an Environmental Remediation Specialist, you can expect to work in various environments, including outdoor settings and confined spaces. You may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by established Company Safety standards.
