Job Title: Finishing and Assembly Lead

Carolina Precision Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Finishing and Assembly Lead to oversee daily finishing and assembly activities on the shop floor. The ideal candidate will have experience in a production environment with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set priorities for the F&A team based on the daily/weekly/monthly production plan.
  • Provide guidance and advice to the F&A team on workload management and problem-solving.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks and identify risks to ensure smooth production.
  • Communicate regularly with upper management on production issues.
  • Report on and update the status of the current month's production plan and associated manufacturing KPIs.
  • Assist with training and development of the F&A team to ensure employees have the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to increase productivity without compromising safety or quality.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Inventory management experience preferred.
  • Medical device manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA requirements.
  • Familiarity with AQL inspection methods and QC experience in medical devices preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering drawing interpretation with GD&T specified features.
  • Strong organizational ability to set priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably VISUAL).
