We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at Colonial Downs Group LLC. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the high-quality preparation and presentation of our menu items.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Sous Chef in monitoring kitchen activities and expediting orders to ensure quality taste and presentation.
- Prepare hot and cold food items according to standard operating procedures, including cleaning and cutting ingredients, cooking main dishes, and plating prepared foods.
- Work with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards and regulations.
- Assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations, and perform other duties as assigned by the Sous Chef.
- Two (2) years of experience in line cooking, with a focus on grilling, broiling, sautéing, and steaming.
- Experience in training staff and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Driver's License with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.
- Virginia Racing Commission License.
The physical demands of this role include frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 25lbs. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
