Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Bowery Residents Committee. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide high-quality counseling services to individuals struggling with addiction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage client caseload and provide individual and group counseling sessions
  • Conduct intake screenings and referrals to detox, rehab, and outpatient treatment programs
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to support clients in achieving their goals
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or Certified Addiction Counselor (CASAC-T) license
  • Preferred qualifications: LMHC or LMSW, bilingual (Spanish/English), knowledge of alcoholism treatment and 12-step programs
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in electronic health records
