Job Summary

Season is a food-as-medicine platform that enables people with chronic conditions to eat well and live well. As a Registered Dietitian, you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive and seamless services that bridge the gap and integrate clinical and self-management aspects of nutrition-related chronic diseases and other conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide collaborative, comprehensive and person-centered care and education to support behavior change and improved quality of life across the lifespan.
  • Write nutrition prescriptions appropriate for a variety of conditions including prediabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, cancer and gastrointestinal disorders.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments for each patient including emotional and behavioral health, interpret personal health data, develop an individualized care plan based on the patient's assessed needs and goals and promote successful self-management.
  • Identify and provide age-specific nutrition counseling to meet the cultural needs of the patients.
  • Document all individual contacts/visits in the electronic health record and outcomes database according to guidelines and in a timely manner.
  • Provide quality medical nutrition therapy via telehealth in individual and group settings based on assessed needs.
  • Supports technology-enabled nutrition education and care.
  • Actively participate in quality improvement processes.

Requirements

  • Maintain RD credentialing with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (must be in good standing and maintained), additional specialty certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of food and current nutrition trends as well as best practices in nutrition care.
  • Passion for working in an early-stage company and building from the ground up.
  • Excellent nutrition science fundamentals.
