YOUR ROLE:

We are seeking a Senior Audit Staff Accountant to provide leadership and guidance to our clients while supporting our internal management as we continue to expand in our office.

As a Senior Audit Staff Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to execute the necessary procedures for planning and conducting attestation engagements for clients, adhering to the relevant accounting standards. This role involves close collaboration with clients and internal management to ensure the delivery of high-quality work, while also providing opportunities to engage in more complex areas of assignments and develop supervisory skills in preparation for a senior-level position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your regular tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting and assisting with audits, reviews, and compilations across various sectors
  • Preparing and analyzing financial statements while assessing internal controls
  • Coordinating daily tasks related to planning, fieldwork, and finalization
  • Possessing a comprehensive understanding of accounting and reporting standards
  • Establishing reasonable time budgets and managing audit requests to meet deadlines
  • Facilitating effective communication between clients and the audit team
  • Updating clients, management, and the Managing Director on work progress and any arising client issues

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • 2-3 years in a relevant role
  • Experience in public accounting or a similar professional services environment is preferred

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • A degree in Accounting (focused on Audit or Tax)
  • A Master's degree or completion of 150 credits in designated states

Licensure / Certification:

  • Actively pursuing CPA Exam or relevant certification for the discipline if not already obtained
  • Must fulfill required CPE credits annually

Legal / Compliance:

  • Completion of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards acknowledgment is mandatory
  • For governmental engagements, the ability to secure a security clearance from the United States government is required
