Key Responsibilities
  • Groundskeeping: Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities, including shop cleaning, road calls for oil spill clean up, parts pick up, and surrounding areas.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various hand-held manual, electrical, and gas-powered tools and equipment.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain and ensure the safe operating condition of assigned equipment and tools according to company policy and OSHA regulations.
  • Waste Management: Assist with organization and distribution of waste carts and bins.
  • Shop Maintenance: Pressure-wash and perform minor repairs to shop tools, bins, containers, and shop-based tasks.
  • Transportation: Perform safe driving practices while transporting, loading, and unloading shop supplies, parts, and tools.
  • Housekeeping: Assist with general housekeeping of maintenance shops and offices.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform minor repairs and general upkeep of the maintenance facility.
  • Container Maintenance: Clean, prepare, and paint containers.
  • Customer Interaction: Professional interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Assistance: Assist in various lines of business, as needed.
Requirements
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to perform physical requirements of the job, including prolonged physical exertions, lifting, carrying, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Work Ethic: Self-starter, aggressive work ethic, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Safety Conscious: Safety conscious.
  • Weather Conditions: Ability to work in various conditions with exposure to weather elements.
Working Conditions
  • Exposure: Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas.
  • Waste Exposure: Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
  • Flexible Hours: Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Overtime: Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Eligibility: Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license (if applicable).
  • Pre-Employment Testing: Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
  • Language: Must be able to read and speak the English language.
