  • Implements safety measures when operating equipment and tools.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in operating manual or electric pallet jacks. (partners 18yrs.+)
  • Capable of safely using and maintaining departmental equipment.
  • Skilled in handling products carefully to prevent damage.
  • Competent in working with sharp tools such as knives and box cutters.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Attentive to safety hazards and proactive in addressing them.
  • Responsible for reporting unresolved hazards to a supervisor.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum age of 16 years required.
  • Minimum age of 18 years required for equipment operation.
  • On-the-job training is typically provided.

Physical Requirements

  • Continuous use of close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
  • Frequent standing or walking throughout the shift.
  • Regular use of hands for reaching, touching, or handling items.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 40 lbs consistently.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, or squatting.
  • Regular communication with customers and team members.
  • Occasionally required to lift objects up to 75 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Consistent attendance is essential.

Work Environment

  • Work is primarily conducted in a retail grocery setting.
  • Occasionally exposed to cold environments (non-weather related).
  • May encounter wet or slippery surfaces.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals may occur.
  • Noise levels range from quiet to moderate.
