Job Summary

The Transportation Services Field Generalist is a critical role within the University of Oregon's Transportation Services Department. This position is responsible for enforcing campus parking policies in a fair, consistent, and community-minded manner. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce campus parking policies and regulations
  • Provide motorist assistance and transportation services, including bicycle lock cuts
  • Serve as an ambassador for the department and the university, promoting a positive and proactive attitude
  • Work effectively in a diverse team environment and create effective relationships for problem-solving and positive interactions
  • Maintain a safe and safety-conscious workplace
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years post-secondary education and/or 2 years experience, including a minimum of one year parking, code compliance, or public contact experience
  • Ability to obtain a University of Oregon driver certification, with van endorsement
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in higher education
  • Experience enforcing parking policies
  • Fluency in a language in addition to English
  • Experience articulating policy to the public
  • Experience working with people with disabilities
