About the Role

The Security Visibility and Validation (SVV) Team is part of the Security Engineering department within the Security and Trust Organization (S&TO). Our team works to strengthen Cisco's approach to security by developing software tools and solutions for meaningful risk reductions in our products and to protect the Cisco brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate software development pipeline technologies, infrastructures, software configuration management (SCM), security, and other technologies that change and improve how SVV secure their software.
  • Build and interact with security tools and results across the application stack and broadly across security domains.
  • Anticipate our organization and client needs and be empowered to take initiative and be proactive in your approach.
  • Contribute to a cross-functional team which designs, recommends, and delivers outstanding development security operations (DevSecOps) for SVV.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in a technical/software related capacity
  • Experience with software configuration Management (SCM) systems and processes
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methods, processes and procedures
  • Experience developing and deploying serverless applications with containerized computing platforms such as Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes or Helm and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience with pipeline automation tools like Jenkins, Maven, and Artifactory

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • An understanding of agile/scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn Cisco Secure Development LifeCycle (CSDL)
  • Awareness of the Cloud Control Framework (CCF)
  • Familiarity with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and or Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)
