**Job Summary**

The Area Superintendent will oversee maintenance operations for owned and/or operated facilities in a designated geographic area. This role combines hands-on work as a live-in building superintendent for an assigned residential property with providing guidance and supervision to other Building Superintendents in the assigned geographic area.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Ensure code compliance with all building codes, licensures, and physical plant requirements.
  • Supervise and guide Building Superintendents in the assigned geographic area.
  • Assume responsibilities of the Building Superintendent in their absence.
  • Ensure agency properties are maintained at their optimal level, providing a safe and adequate living/working environment for residents and staff.

**Requirements**

  • Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the philosophy and mission of Community Access Inc.
  • GED or High school graduation required; prefer at least two (2) years of college or completion of building maintenance technical training program.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in building/residential housing maintenance or property/facilities management.
  • Aptitude and work skills in areas such as carpentry, electricity, plumbing, and masonry.
  • Understanding of HVAC systems, including installation and repair.
  • Familiarity with housing, building, and fire safety code requirements.
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to plan and schedule work for several moderate-sized building maintenance workforces.
  • Certificate of Fitness for standpipes and fire alarm systems.
