Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing high-quality radiologic services to patients, while also serving as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students. Key Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy and patient safety
  • Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care and optimize imaging procedures
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure understanding and satisfaction
  • Operate imaging equipment to complete procedures according to established protocols and guidelines
  • Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality and accuracy
  • Participate in quality control procedures and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Assist with departmental operations, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and equipment maintenance
  • Adapt to changing patient needs and priorities, while maintaining a patient-centered approach
Requirements
  • Completion of a Radiologic Technology program in an AMA-approved school
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current licensure in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Windows-style applications
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with frequent exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent must be able to lift, bend, and stand for prolonged periods, and must be able to travel throughout and between facilities as needed.
