Avionics Electrical Technician II Job Overview

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation seeks an experienced Avionics Electrical Technician II to join our team in Savannah, GA.

This role requires a strong background in avionics installation, testing, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, communication abilities, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Install and functionally test electrical/avionics components and systems on aircraft per Engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair system discrepancies to ensure minimal schedule impact.
  3. Implement process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising safety or quality.
  4. Perform and comply with engineering changes and modifications as required.
  5. Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conduct functional and operational tests, and evaluate performance and reliability.
  6. Ensure all work performed on the aircraft is properly and completely documented and ready for inspection.
Requirements
  1. Four (4) years experience in an avionics/electrical career field or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years related experience.
  2. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred. Other FCC and NCATT certifications also preferred.
  3. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  5. Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  6. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
