Position Overview
Abacus Technology Corporation is in search of skilled professionals, including managers, auditors, analysts, and support specialists, to implement, maintain, and enhance its Ethics and Compliance (E&C) program. The selected candidates will collaborate closely with corporate leadership to optimize the effectiveness and responsiveness of the program.
Key Responsibilities
The primary objective is to spearhead E&C program initiatives aimed at safeguarding the firm's reputation by ensuring that all business activities comply with relevant Federal regulations and contractual obligations. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, sustain, and refine the corporate compliance program in alignment with industry best practices and the ethical standards established by Abacus Technology Corporation.
- Ensure that all E&C policies and procedures are current and easily accessible in a compliance documentation repository for all employees.
- Educate and train staff to ensure awareness of their responsibilities regarding the corporate code of conduct and business ethics compliance.
- Create comprehensive master schedules and checklists for ongoing monitoring of training and certification levels, security clearances, inspections, and property accounts in accordance with contract-specific requirements.
- Conduct and oversee compliance audits to assess adherence to established protocols and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor audit activities, compile and analyze compliance data, and interpret findings to pinpoint potential weaknesses and deficiencies in the program.
- Address and mitigate any identified noncompliance issues, including the development of actionable plans and milestones for resolution, along with necessary disclosures.
- Stay informed on new laws and directives pertaining to the ethical obligations of federal contractors, updating E&C program policies and procedures as needed.
- Respond to inquiries from employees regarding ethics and compliance, and provide support to local site quality managers and auditors in fulfilling their E&C program responsibilities.
- Report to senior management on the organization's adherence to corporate compliance metrics and recommend necessary enforcement or improvement actions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess 3-10 years of progressive experience in business compliance, risk management, or performance auditing, preferably within the Federal support service contracting sector. A Bachelor's degree in business management, public administration, industrial engineering, or a related field is required. Formal training in corporate compliance and ethics is preferred, or candidates should demonstrate the willingness and capability to obtain such certification promptly. A solid understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and/or Defense FAR (DFAR), along with knowledge of major Federal government procurement strategies and current contracting standards, is essential. Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to build collaborative relationships, are crucial. Candidates must be highly organized, with advanced time management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision are vital. Familiarity with ISO process audits and CMMI appraisal functions is a significant advantage. U.S. citizenship is required.
