Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Pavilion 9, a 30-bed cardiac medical/surgical and cardiac intermediate unit. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to complex cardiac patients, including those undergoing cardiac surgery, structural heart procedures, and other cardiac processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to a group of patients, utilizing the nursing process and therapeutic use of self.
  • Supervise and coordinate the care of patients, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication with the healthcare team.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, providing education and support to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a National League for Nursing (NLN) accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Certain specialties may require advanced certification, such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
