Job Summary

Garver Engineering is seeking a highly skilled CEI Business Team Lead to join our team in the Texas region. As a key member of our Field Services team, you will be responsible for leading a team of construction professionals in the Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) field. Your expertise in leading major construction projects, providing exceptional customer service, and engaging in business pursuits will be essential in driving our growth and success.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of construction professionals in the CEI field.
  • Market research and business development to create/expand industry relationships and pursue engineering and construction projects in Texas.
  • Perform accurate project revenue and cost financial forecasting.
  • Coordinate with clients and funding agencies.
  • Oversee and coordinate CEI projects, ensuring compliance with quality, performance, and code requirements.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and clients.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Monitor project progress, address issues, and ensure timely completion.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • TxDOT experience required (Precertified in and/or able to accomplish precertification process).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in CEI, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, materials, and inspection techniques.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to recruit and grow the local CEI team.
