Job Title: Apprentice Optician

At Luxottica of America Inc, we are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Optician to join our team. As an Apprentice Optician, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional Guest service and driving profitable sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a positive and productive retail-selling environment that ensures premier Guest Service, Guest retention, and outstanding Optical Team/Doctor satisfaction.
  • Drive profitable store sales by fostering a retail selling culture and practicing effective retail sales skills.
  • Verify visual acuity, analyze and interpret prescriptions, and measure pupillary distances.
  • Select and measure frames for facial contour, eye size, bridge size, and temple length.
  • Fits and adjusts eyewear to the face and eyes, and dispenses contact lenses.
  • Ensure high-quality and timely product manufacturing/fabrication, and dispense quality product within established guidelines.
Requirements:
  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • Actively enrolled in a state-approved Optician Apprentice program.
  • 2+ years in retail or customer service position.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Independent and self-motivated.
  • Ability to grow sales through sales skills.
  • Enthusiastic and concise communication.
  • Attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree.
