Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced diesel technician who can perform routine maintenance, diagnose complex mechanical issues, and complete detailed repairs on heavy-duty vehicles. As a Senior Diesel Technician at Ryder, you will work independently with minimal supervision and interact with customers/drivers to understand their concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools
  • Complete detailed inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
  • Replace defective components as instructed
  • Work unsupervised on most tasks

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification post-secondary degree or technical certifications, preferred
  • Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
