Heavy Duty Diesel Technician

Ryder System is looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to join our team. As a critical member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.
Estimated Salary: $50,000 to $55,000 per yearThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair and experience working with diesel engines. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, as well as vocational or technical certification post-secondary degree or technical certifications.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers
- Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints
- Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available
