About the Position

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our Public Health Crew as a member. As a Public Health Corpsmember, you will support youth accessing resources available in the community, while developing valuable skills in mental health support.


Key Responsibilities
  • Administer substance misuse surveys among a youth population.
  • Provide effective near-peer mentoring to youths as determined by confidential survey results.
  • Support coalition meetings, prevention planning, and other prevention-related tasks as assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and notify them of any schedule changes.

Qualifications
  • Be 18 years or older by start date.
  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent, or agree to obtain one prior to using the Segal Education Award.
  • Be a US Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident.
  • Satisfy the National Service Criminal History Check.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information.

What We Offer

We provide a supportive work environment, opportunities for professional growth, and a competitive stipend of $368-$588 per week (before taxes). You will also receive an education award of up to $5,176.50 upon completion of the term of service. Healthcare coverage is available at no cost to members.
