POSITION OVERVIEW

As a key player in our retail operations, you will be integral to our success across over 430 locations globally. Your responsibilities will include ensuring product availability, creating engaging visual presentations, addressing customer inquiries, and facilitating smooth transactions at checkout. You will help foster memorable shopping experiences while supporting the mission of Columbia Sportswear Company, which is to connect active individuals with their passions.

YOUR IMPACT
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries about product features, benefits, and availability; engage with customers to discern their needs and preferences (e.g., demonstrate merchandise, suggest suitable options, etc.).
  • Uphold store standards for visual presentation, cleanliness, and safety; retrieve merchandise from various locations as needed.
  • Accurately process all cash register transactions (e.g., sales, returns, exchanges, and loyalty program enrollments).
  • Contribute to store profitability by efficiently managing incoming and outgoing product flow.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • No specific educational requirements (High School Diploma or GED preferred).
  • Up to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems and other in-store technology.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Engage in a dynamic work setting that may involve physical activity, including moving items weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Occasional need to work in a stationary position.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Willingness to work a flexible retail schedule that may vary based on business needs.
