Job Title: A&P Mechanic

Join our team at StandardAero in Houston, TX, where we value your integrity and commitment. As an experienced A&P Mechanic, you'll work in our MRO facility servicing corporate aircrafts from all over the world. Our expanding facility and growing workforce will utilize your industry knowledge and technical expertise to continue to raise the standard in Business Aviation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize your sound judgment and technical aptitude to make decisions regarding maintenance, sequence, and techniques, troubleshooting and discrepancy resolution.
  • Disassembly and re-assembly of all 731 and 738 engine types and models.
  • Inspect engine parts upon removal, taking measurements to match upon re-assembly.
  • Evaluates removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies (squawks).
  • Documents all work accomplished in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
  • Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directive as required.
  • Reads and interprets maintenance manual procedures, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams.
  • Responsible for knowing, understanding, following, promoting, and continuously improving company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted; stand a minimum of 8 hours per day, and walk long distances; bend, stretch, crawl, and climb ladders in order to work on areas within the aircraft that are difficult to access.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with TFE 731 and/or 738 engines.
