Key ResponsibilitiesThe Surgical Technologist Specialist is responsible for delivering expert perioperative care through the effective use of surgical instruments and equipment. This role involves assisting the physician during surgical and invasive procedures, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The specialist is expected to serve as a role model and resource for colleagues, demonstrating expertise and knowledge in surgical practices.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program
- Licenses/Certifications: Current Basic Life Support certification and certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- Experience: Preferred 5+ years of surgical technology experience, with orthopedic experience being essential
